hi All I passed F3 yesterday on second attempt so I thought to give a feedback. Exam was tough but not that hard compare to P3. Timing is still an issue so what I did - I just skipped the lengthy questions as I know I would spent lot of time on those. I must admit I guessed many question as well. There were many questions on acquisitions and financing of acquisition. Be prepared to have good knowlegde of share re-purchase, venture capitalist, MBO, skip dividend ect. Get more info of the internet if you are not confident. Both variants I sat had few questions on LIBOR which I wasn’t that happy with ). Supprisingly I did not have that many question on valuation or capital structure that I would expected. I used Kaplan study text and Kaplan kit and BPP kit. I think Kaplan and BPP are the most relevant. Also Cima aptitude! I used to get other sources in the previous exams as well as: Astranti, Accorn and the Practice test Academy. Good luck, if you need more info, please feel free to contact me. Congrats Zofia. Any tips on P3, i attempted thrice now n all marginal fails (89, 94, 88). No idea how to cross line now. I studied Astranti n Kaplan, so i feel confident on my knowledge. I manage to attempt 45 mcqs n then make guesses on last 15 due to short of time.

I recently sat F3 my second attempt, the day before the exam I was reading this thread feeling like it was hopeless, in the exam I had around 10 minutes with a large number of calculation questions still left, it was not looking good! However when I received the result I was surprised to see ‘pass’ , I wanted to come back here and share what I did in a hope to give people hope if I can pass you can too. First thing I do is read the question before the wording so I know what key points to look for in the wording. Second I skipped all lengthy calculation questions, flagged to review, focused on the quick questions that I knew. After going through all questions go back to reviewed answer the calculations I was more confident in. Finally go through the remaining questions try work it out or guess, don’t leave any answers blank. I think if you know your wording and can get those multiple question marks right then it eases the pressure on the calculations.

I passed F3 first time so I thought I’d leave a post as some Of the comments on here helped me. There aren’t loads of calcs so once you know them don’t get hung up on them. Know LIBOR, no the different financial instruments and how you use them I.e when you would use forwards, options etc. Knowing things like not using debt finance if highly geared. Revise each topic but make sure you know how to apply it to an example. I completed all 220 Kaplan revision questions and done the mocks. Revised 2 hours a day for the month during the lessons and then about 8 hours a day for 5 days prior to the exam. Good luck

So, I recently attempted the F3 CIMA exam in Dec 2021 and I need to say that, it is indeed a very tough paper. I couldn't pass. I'm currently preparing to resit my F3 paper on Jan 2022. I hope I would pass on my second try.
But here I am to tell everyone on how the paper was like when I attempted it. It was super duper stressful. Time is a crucial part of being able to pass the exam. I had 10 flagged questions unanswered and I was on my 53rd question when I had only 7 minutes left. Wasn't looking good. So I had to just quickly place an answer on each question that was left. I technically could not even finish the paper. But then again, although I answered around 10+ questions with my eyes closed, I have gotten a 93/150 which means I was 3 questions away from the passing mark. What a waste, right?
There weren't a lot of calculations, it was more of theory and how they would twist the question. The most ridiculous part of the exam was that the question was 2 paragraphs long filled with information that you need to carefully read and extract. It was super time-consuming and on top of the anxiety and pressure. It was not good at all. 1.5 minutes for each question was not enough for me to read the question, think, calculate and answer it.
My advice for the people who are going to attempt the F3 paper is that, do place heavy importance on the timing. Just skip the lengthy questions and come back to them later. Try and think fast, you do not have any time to waste. Focus on the theory more and I hope you will pass. Don't give up although we all know how difficult and stressful the journey is. There will be light at the end of the tunnel.
I will be back to talk about my second attempt on my F3 paper soon. I hope I could pass this time round.

Are the exam dumps legit or are they dodgy? Isn't it people remembering questions from the exam and posting online which is obviously unethical.

I have sat F3 3 times now and still can't get to grips with it, I have passed all the other objectives tests first time and have tried various study materials and practice questions etc all to success but just can't seem to get it in the actual exam! This is my final objective test before the case study m. And I am feeling really disheartened as I literally do not know what to do to pass this exam.....
