I've passed all F1,P1 and E1 in one try by self-studying (just passed E1 few days ago). My biggest tip is to do the Kaplan Practice Book multiple times (this is my only source of practice question). While studying, use this site (http://opentuition.com/cima/), they have free online tuition, and also summary notes for all 3 books, their teaching method is very easy to understand. However, their notes on E1 is not too great, I studied E1 using their notes and only passed at 105, though i only studied in 1 week but still.. So be careful when you're using online resources, do cross check with the reference book though.
I read someone mentioned Acorn's materials, you can find them online for free as well, which is great. However, they're quite out of date, 30% of their contents are not relevant to current materials so also be careful while using it.
Good luck.

Hi Zoe128,
How did you find the P1 exam in terms of difficulty

I have now failed P1 three times, more and more bizarre questions come up that don't seem to be reflected in any of the so called exam test kits I have from Kaplan, and they are of no help what so ever. Does anyone have any advice? Silverfox555, not sure what you mean by bizarre, i passed P1 soley by using the Kapan exam kit and the Pearson Vue practice exam. All questions were of similar difficulty as the Kapan kit questions

Hi, I've failed P1 the first time. It is very difficult especially when you have 1.5 min for a question. I've used Kaplan material for self studying. I've passed it the second time. I would advice to copy some difficult questions from Pearson mock exam and check the answers on CIMA page. Then work through the questions you get wrong and try to fill in your gaps. Pearson mock is similar to the real exam. I would suggest to study to that point where you can answer easier questions in half a min. Otherwise the exam is simply too short.

I started studying E1 on 27th February 2018 with Astranti. I have just taken and passed this exam. I'm yet to find out my exact score, but I am pleased. I found the exam easier than expected, and I think this is down to two things.
In the practice test and mock exams on Astranti, there are a lot of "select all that apply" style questions, which i often missed one answer or put one too many. In the actual exam, only one of the "select all" style questions didn't give a number. All the rest said "select 3" or "which 3 of the following". My average mark was around 60%.
Also, unfortunately, there are some questions in Astranti's database which have confusing grammar or incorrect use of language; meaning even when I read the "correct" answer, I don't understand how that answer was reached. However, they are very quick to react and rectify errors if you email them to let them know!
I am, in general, very happy with Astranti, as the study materials are very useful - online text, videos for each chapter, 30 practice questions for each chapter and 5 mock exams with descriptive answers means that the more you do, the more you learn. I have now purchased F1, and my exam is booked for 9th May. I'm not sure whether that's brave or foolish!
