Hello, has anyone on the forum applied for to the CIMA management gateway exam? I see that they will respond within 20 days but I have applied on November 17th and received no reply. I thought I had followed instructions yet must still wait... does anyone who has applied via the gateway exam have any experiences they can share? Should I be worried or contact CIMA again?

Who did you send your documents to? When I applied I sent an email to documents@cimaglobal.com but sent a copy of that email to cima.contact@cimaglobal.com. I heard back pretty close to the 20 day time, but if you still haven't heard you should probably get in touch again and check. No harm in it.

Hi Kudzey, The Gateway exam is the same exam as the Management case study. It really depends on how much knowledge you have on the P2 E2 and F2 syllabus. I would suggest you look at the pass papers from Nov 2019 onwards. You also need to look at the syllabus testable areas. The case study for Feb will be the same as November. Personally, I would start revising as soon as possible as there is a fair bit to get through. ( I had to sit E2, P2 and F2). www.cimaglobal.com/Qualifications/Professional-Qualification/Exam-blueprints/It is recommended to do a few mocks and get them professionally marked. Astranti, Viva, and BPP offer this service. It will give you an idea of how good your time management is, as well as your writing style.

Did you hear back from CIMA?
When I sat the gateway I revised for 3+ months and still didn't feel confident in the exam, I passed but only just. If you haven't already started you might want to wait until May because there's just so much to do. Reading the theory alone took months before I felt ready to start on the preseen.

I will surely look at these papers now. Will the case study in Feb really be the same as in November? Does this mean that I will need to score more marks to pass if they having the same questions??

Thank you for your advice, I am confident in theory under e2 p2 f2 but will consider if I am ready before applying to appear in February exam.

Hi Kudzey,
Apologies - I have only seen your message now. The case study in Feb is definitely the same as November 2019. From my understanding you will not need to score extra points to pass. It is definitely advisable to look at the past papers from Nov 2018. It is good that you are confident in the P2, E2, F2 theory.
I will be posting something on a separate post but have a real concern about the CIMA at home testing. I am not sure if you are based in the U.K. but the exam centres were closed and with everything going on, there is the possibility that they might be closed in Feb.
Feel free to message me.
