CIMA PER Existing or Updated?

Hi.

I have completed all my exams and I need to complete the PER.

I am eligible to do either the existing one or the updated one.

I realise due to circumstances they are trying to encourage students to use the new one, but I have confirmed that both are accepted at this time.

It says on the CIMA website that "students find the existing PER more straightforward", but they do not say how or why this is.

So before I start the whole process, I just wondered if anyone had any information either through direct experience, or from people that you know that have completed the PER as to which one really is the more straightforward (easier), and why that may be the case?

Or perhaps you are in the same boat and you decided on one way over the other, I would be interested to hear why you did choose that way?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
