Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and to CIMA and I think I just got ripped off on a course.
I signed up for the CIMAstudy BA1 Fundamentals of Business Economics for 150 Pounds through KAPLAN and I can barely use it!
I can't use it on my phone (the formatting is terrible), I need to be connected to the internet the entire time I am using it and they do not provide PDF's or Documents I can download to print. Only studying while connected to a desktop is not cool.
It means I cannot study on my way to work on the bus, on my lunch break etc. The admin even apologizes for the inconvenience as an update... Its a distance learning course and supposed to be about convenience.
I was planning on studying on a 24 hour plane trip I have coming up, I don't think that's on the cards anymore. I can copy the text to a word document and print, but I could do that from investopedia without paying 150 pounds and just paying for access to some practice exams. (Or just actually sit an exam twice for the money I paid!)
Essentially thought I would share that I do not think the CIMAstudy courses are worth the money at all. Really subpar. Was hoping someone could point me in the direction of study materials for the new courses that are well, usable outside of constant internet access.
I've asked KAPLAN for a refund and hold out hope for a better way.
