Hi,
Any guidance for an average word count say for a 60 minute question?
Thanks!

Hi
I would say 1200 on the basis that (assuming I am remembering right) the CIMA guidance was that you should be ok in the exam with a 20 words per minute typing speed albeit with the proviso that it would be better to type 600 words of quality compared to 1200 words of padding out.
Doing the Astranti mocks, I have been averaging between 1200 & 1500 words but if you asked me how much of it could have been taking out as superficial, I would say that I am getting around 800 words of use.
Difficult to get the balance right as that will explain why I am always pushed for time but at the same time it always feels better in the exam to be typing something rather than staring into space!

Hi Steve,
Thanks, that's what I have been averaging whilst doing the mocks (although like you a lot of that is padding out as you say)
I always feel the time pressure too, very different to doing the mocks at home
Best of luck!

Gook luck to you too! It'll be a nice feeling when it is all over!
