Hi everyone,
Best of luck with your SCS exams this week!
We are really interested to hear how you found the exam!
We would appreciate comments on the following:
What was the most useful part of your studies? Did you wish you had done more theory revision? Was the exam harder or easier than the mock exams that you completed?

Hi team
I had taken my exam today. I had well-prepared using your preparation material and had gone through all technical subjects well but Ifound that I was still lacking in some areas as follows
Time management I had done the mock exams but one issue in which I lost marks was that in your format I was able to copy paste from the question and used that as the basis for my planning only during the last few days I realised that this cannot be done in the real exam so naturally my planning practice was wrong and I lost some time here
Secondly I felt that i should have done more in-depth review of how real life clubs actually react to various scenarios and do a lot of research on that rather than going too in depth into technical studies. Since I had to do a lot of brain storming in this section I lost some time during the exam.
The mock exams from your team was the best. And I recommend that everybody should get their answers marked before they go to the actual exam it really helped me a lot to understand my weaknesses The mock exam perfectly simulated the real exam it was neither too hard nor too easy than the actual one
I am extremely happy with the way you had guided me hats off to the whole team for doing A commendable job and especially Nick for all the classes and analysis
Iif the situation arises I will definitely come back to Astranti but I hope I will not have to repeat this exam and Will Very strongly recommend this to all my friends
Thanks, Indhu

Hi Nick,
I wrote the SCS today. Phew. Lost time in alsomst all the questions except one. The last qusetion I was panicking so I remebered your advice, that if you cant figure out structure, just answer the question. And with the last few minutes I started doing 2 line bullet points hoping to gain some 1/2 marks at least. But I also felt like I kept repeating myeslf as all tasks were interlinked. I hope it's enough for a pass, even though I am worried about not finishing. Thanks for the help and guidance. Will wait and see.

Hi to All!
I sat SCS exam today. It was as said above approx of same difficulty as mocks. 5 mocks and industry analysis were really helpful to get the wider picture view.
My only concern was my ability to spell correctly, as being not native english- I tend to misspel then under pressure.
Also, the nature of exam is exhasting, and it is very time pressured, one can barely think by the end of it, not mentioning putting in enough of valid points.
The only thing for sure is that i tried my best, there is no way i can do better. If i fail this one it would be beyond my ability to produce better.
Regards Di.

I feel your pain scb, I thought I prepared quite well but the stadium sharing arrangement and the mentoring question completely threw me, nothing similar was covered in the mocks, the top 10 scenarios or my own research. i did my best but spent too much time having to think of stuff to put down.
I think if you knew some of the theory (i.e mentoring) and knew about the issues surrounding stadium sharing it would probably have been a fair bit easier than the mocks.

Sat my SCS exam today too. Although the questions were focused on issues I hadn't really considered I think I managed to come up with enough valid points, it's all down to how good they were. I used relevant theory and terminology where necessary but theory wasn't fundamental to many questions. The industry analysis really helped as I'm not a football fan so would have found it difficult to learn that much on my own.
Best of luck everyone with your results!

The most beneficial part of your studies was the possibilty of doing the mock exams and having a detailed feedback in each attempt. There is room to study a bit more, including theory revision, and think I culd have dome more revision of the soft theories about leadership and change management but I beleive that the balance was good. The exam was harder than the mock exams because the request was tricker to figure out.
Best of luck!

Took my exam Sat.
I finished every section few mins before time. I always have no problem with time management....but looking back, I always have problem with the quality of my answers.
A bit worried now. I didn't actually spell out the details in my head. Like I only mentioned "conduct financial modelling and valuations before carrying out stadium expansion". ..without mentioning the specifics like Breakeven Analysis and NPV. I always assume the person Im talking to knows what I mean.
If Im talking to my CFO in my work place, I dont really have to be detailed. She always know what I mean..she only needs points to remind her! And thats what I do in the exams. It would probably cost me some Technical Skills points.
Ohhh God. What an agony waiting for the results. I hope I will eventually get it. Otherwise, next time around, I should probably use Nick's mock exam and have my answers assessed. This exam, I only took Nick's annotated preseen, strategic and industry analysis.

Hi, Bonz, same issue with me, still thinking how i did. I had same variant as you - stadium increase. This one would probably be downgraded as well as the most easy one...

Din....you're killing me!
If they will downgrade my points to level up with the more difficult ones, then I will be left with crumbs!!!

Hello all, I sat on the 28th and got the variant with stadium expansion which I did not recommended due to current low filling rate (only 68% over 48'000 seats) in the preseen and as well the fact that the rights emission is not granted as a success due tothe low share price and high beta of Glory. Scenario planning was also mentionned, as well as the renaming of the stadium without consulting fans. There was also a corporate governance issue due to the fact that Kartar act as Chairman of Glorious Energy and Glory and negotiate sponsoring contracts (1 Mio V$ for stadium naming) which are less expensive that other offer (Veldoun Airways offered 5 Mio V$). Finally other issue between Kartar who inteferes in the daily job of the team manager and who recruits aplayer without consulting the head coach. Let's cross the fingers and hope I will pass. Good luck to all of you! Guillaume
