Hi everyone,
We thought we would start a forum where we can bring thoughts and ideas about the August 2015 Preseen Industry - the Soccer/Football sector.
We know from our research there is a good amount of information out there on the Soccer/Football sector which can help improve our understanding of the industry.
The Astranti Industry Analysis compares the pre-seen company to Manchester United and other football clubs - has anyone else looked into these? If so, it would be great to see what you've found!

Might I suggest that when conducting industry analysis you avoid the big names. They are just not reflective of the industry as a whole, in fact the big names are a world apart from the rest of the industry. I speak with 6+ years of working in the industry.
The key matters impacting on football at present are
- Financial Fair Play Legislation - Raising finance (many banks etc do not want to get involved with clubs) and demand either high security or insurance bonds this can be demand for loans or basic operating requirements ie card processing.
- Common sources of finance in the sector are forward discounting mainly of transfer fees and assignment of future season ticket revenues.
- Liquidity with very seasonal business many clubs struggle with liquidity often relying heavily on wealthy shareholders.
- very few clubs operate profitably many are effectively insolvent and should owner support cease the club would have serious financial concerns.
-high football manager turnover, change or stability which is best to progress?
