Hi guys, Has anyone sat P1 as a remote online exam? I sat E1 remotely and it went well and I passed. However, due to the fact you are not allowed to use your own pen and paper I would think P1 would be quite difficult to pass with using the online whiteboard? Because it involves lots of calculations. Just wanted to see if anyone has tried the online whiteboard and found it okay? I really want to pass as many exams as possible but it’s not easy when all the exam centres are closed Thanks! Natasha

I'm sitting for it at the moment and finding it a big struggle. Trying to get in the habit of not using pen and paper and it's very slow - I find I'm often just skipping those questions and coming back to them once I've done all the short ones.
Practice is key!

Ahhh okay! I can imagine! And you can’t really afford to lose time on P1, I have heard it’s already very time restricted even with pen and paper! Well good luck

Yeah, the time restriction is real. It's definitely doable but it would make such a difference if you could even have 5 extra minutes if sitting at home...
Thanks and hope your revision goes well too!

Hi Natasha,
I sat my P1 exam today and thankfully passed. I had the same worries as you in regards to the “scratchpad” and I’ve got to say I found it really really useful. Having a keyboard in front of you and being able to type down what information I needed quickly suited me perfectly. For someone that wasn’t going to take the exam just because I was so programmed to want to use a pencil and paper, it didn’t hinder me at all. Whilst this exam is very tough I would say DO NOT get bogged down in the time, if you can’t figure it out just move on and come back to it. I purchased the extra aptitude test and question bank through CIMA and that mock exam was so much like the exam. Would highly recommend getting that! Good luck!

Thanks Reece - well done on passing! Can you give any tips for how the scratchpad worked? I always really struggle with it and I'd love to hear from someone who it really suited, trying to be positive instead of worrying.
Going to look into the aptitude test now...
