Another big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to complete our November OCS Experience Survey so far, we have continued to find lots of interesting results! I have spoken about the importance of learning from past students, and it's important for any future OCS student to look at these survey results and see what lessons can be learned.
How many weeks did our students put in?
The first result worth sharing is that nearly 50% of respondents were revising 5 weeks or more before the exam. This is encouraging and shows how hard our students have worked! With only around 15% spending less than 3 weeks revising for the OCS exam. I always recommend that students start their case study revision between 6 and 8 weeks before the exams kick off, so it's reassuring to hear that students agree!
Revised for more than 5 weeks 46.1% 4 - 5 weeks revision 40% 3-4 weeks revision 6.7% 2-3 weeks 16.2% Less than 2 weeks - 6.7%
Our students put in the hours!
We found from our survey that 40% worked more than 10 hours per week and less than 10% worked fewer than 3 hours per week. With the majority of students having full time jobs and other commitments, I am very impressed! I am sure the examiners will notice the effort as well!
Revised for 10 hours or more per week - 40% Revised for 7-10 hours per week - 20% 5-7 hours of revision a week 13.3% 3-5 hours per week - 20% Less than 3 hours - 6.7%
It has been great to hear from so many students over the last few weeks and really encouraging to hear that the majority of students have been taking our advice and putting in as much time and effort into their case study revision as possible! Why not take a look at the full results to see what else you can learn? - OCS Experience Survey Results
Get involved - it's not too late to complete the Experience Survey!
If you have just completed the OCS exam and feel like there is some important points you want to make, then it is not too late.
We would love to hear from you about your experience of the exam, so that you can help future OCS students to pass!
Please take a few minutes to complete our survey: November OCS Experience Survey
Best wishes,
Nick
