CIMA disscussion does not work so will post here too
In preparation for upcoming exams, Ive just read through the questions and answers for the march mcs variants. In my view a lot of the questions are vague and the models answers themselves are equally vague and don’t actually answer the questions. I am doubting that any other appropriate responses would actually get marks, how would CIMA assess the validity of different responses to the question when the models answers themselves are not so great.
Examples (from var 1,3,5 which weren't selected in feb exam):
Variant1 questions1: Evaluate contract costing arrangement? Answer provided is so general and doesn’t answer the question at all, reading it again it doesn’t say much, where in the answer are the marks awarded for?
Varient1question4a and 4b, the question asked here for a, and b are so similar you can merge the answer into one. Im not sure how wearing helmets and safety gear would motivate and inspire workers though.
Varient3Question1: what are the planning and control issues? The answer given is just waffle a lot of, could ifs and what ifs (infectious disease outbreak). In short they say we cant plan or control because it hasn’t been built yet . Im struggling to understand how marks here are given for this.
Varient5Question2a: pure waffling
Varient5Question3a,b: Tranfer pricing difficulties with the two options. Nowhere does the answer discuss the two options, instead gives a very general answer. Part b, doesn’t answer the question at all. If the question was something like suggest an approach or improvement that bild could take regarding cost of hiring of items, then maybe the answer would make sense. And not which option will reduce dysfunctional behaviour. Feels like im reading the wrong answers.
Any thoughts anyone?
