We sent out an "experience share" for the March 2015 exam to find out how you all found the exam and if you had any advice for new SCS students. The results were really interesting, why not take a look here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jOhoLkq8jYOuS_PSSYmEJkbSKKGXa9u4w8VxiuZDrv4/edit?usp=sharingA few pieces of advice we found interesting: "Plan every answer in detail to allow structure to your writing"
"Planning and applying the the technical knowledge to the unseen and pre-seen is crucial, yet we tend to forget this when under pressure"
"Work on your touch typing speed well in advance before you sit the exam. At least two months before at the very minimum."
"Think out of the box....don't be limited by the theory in the textbooks only. Use your experience from the working industry"
"Mock exam practice is key, hard to learn how to answer questions in time limit and be concise to gain marks. Can only come from practice"If you took the exam and have any more advice, please share it below!

This is a tough exam. There are no short cuts and its very time pressured.
You need to have your plan set in stone before you go in e.g 20 mins planning and 40 mins writing. It sounds simple but you have to take on board the new scenario information, figure out what technical models to use, align it with the pre-seen and then plan your answer in 20 minutes incorporating the four competencies.
On top of this there is a lot of distraction in the room with people tapping noisily on keyboards and other professions finishing their exams coming in and leaving at different times.
You are stressed from the beginning. In previous exams if you had a brain freeze on a question you could leave it til later when you were more at ease and usually the information came to you then. In this exam, once the hour is up there is no going back.
